Good Housekeeping reports that American Girl’s 2026 Advent Calendar has a “snowy surprises” theme and 24 small accessories for 18-inch dolls, in pink, purple and blue. The report says it is sold through the American Girl Holiday Shop and is intended for ages 6 and up; it does not provide a price, release date or complete item list.
American Girl’s 2026 Advent Calendar is themed “snowy surprises” and contains 24 days of small accessories for the brand’s 18-inch dolls, according to a report by Good Housekeeping. The calendar is listed as a product sold through the American Girl Holiday Shop; the report does not state its price or when it will go on sale.
The reported contents mix doll wearables, pretend-play food and miniature gift items. Good Housekeeping says examples include a winter hat, bracelets and hair clips, along with a snack tray, pretend cookies, hot cocoa cups and miniature desserts. Other described accessories include a plant, lotion bottle, pretend gift card, lip gloss tube and framed picture. The article does not present a complete inventory of all 24 compartments.
The accessories are designed for traditional 18-inch American Girl dolls, including historical characters, Girl of the Year dolls and Truly Me customizable dolls. The report stresses that the tiny wearables are for dolls, not sized for children to wear or share. It identifies the product as intended for ages 6 and up, while the Good Housekeeping writer says the play pattern may particularly suit children and tweens ages 6 to 12.
Good Housekeeping says many of the calendar’s accessories are not sold in other sets, making the assortment distinct from the brand’s other products. That description is the publication’s account; the report does not provide a full item-by-item comparison with American Girl’s current catalog.
A Doll-Sized Holiday Countdown
The calendar combines a daily countdown with small accessories for doll play, rather than offering items intended for children to use themselves. Families considering it will want to weigh whether the recipient owns a compatible 18-inch doll and enjoys pretend play with miniature food, clothing and gift props. The stated 6+ age guidance is also relevant because the pieces are small and designed for dolls.
For collectors, the report’s description suggests a seasonal accessory assortment, but it does not establish that the calendar is aimed at adult display collectors. Good Housekeeping frames it primarily as a product for younger fans. Its writer also mentions adult fans’ interest in a doll-sized Christmas tree, but that is a personal observation—not an announcement of a tree or other new product.

American Girl’s Holiday Shop
The Advent Calendar is one of several seasonal products that Good Housekeeping says are available through the American Girl Holiday Shop. The report also names a Hanukkah Gift Set and New Year’s Party Accessories, placing the calendar among products for different winter celebrations. It does not specify whether those items share a launch date or describe their prices.
American Girl’s 18-inch dolls include historical characters, Girl of the Year dolls and Truly Me dolls. The 2026 calendar’s contents are described as accessories for those dolls, not as a new doll release. The report gives a broad overview of the assortment but does not include a full photograph-by-photograph inventory or confirm whether every item is exclusive to the calendar.
Price and Release Details Missing
The source report does not give a retail price, on-sale date, shipping details or a complete list of all 24 items. It also does not say how long the calendar will remain available, whether it will be sold anywhere besides the Holiday Shop, or whether the reported contents may vary. Those details should not be treated as confirmed until American Girl provides them or a retailer listing states them.
The report describes many accessories as not sold in other sets, but it does not identify every item’s availability elsewhere. It also does not announce a doll-sized Christmas tree; that idea appears only as a fan request relayed by the writer.
Watch for the Official Listing
Readers interested in buying the calendar can check the American Girl Holiday Shop for its product listing and any updates to price, availability or contents. Until those details are published, the confirmed information available in the cited report is limited to the theme, 24-day format, broad accessory categories, doll compatibility and stated age guidance.
Once an official listing provides the missing sales details, shoppers will be able to compare the calendar with other holiday products and decide whether its doll-sized assortment suits the intended recipient. Good Housekeeping’s report does not give a date for its next update.
